Alfred G. Adams, Jr.

Al works on projects across the country and in the southern states, representing foreign and U.S. investors, lenders, developers, and entrepreneurs.

He works in connection with virtually every type of commercial real estate project, including multifamily, multiuse, retail, office and hotel properties. Al works extensively in the acquisition and development area and on mortgage and joint venture financing of retail and other commercial projects. With more than 35 years in real estate law, he has gained considerable hands-on experience in real estate workouts, foreclosures and bankruptcy reorganizations.

 

  • Represented Arris Realty Partners in connection with the refinancing of an approximately 230,000-square-foot power retail center in Columbus, Georgia.

An adjunct professor at Duke University School of Law, Al taught Real Estate Finance for several years. He frequently speaks at continuing legal education seminars on topics such as retail development and leasing, real estate workouts and creditors’ rights, commercial real estate sales and acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures.
