BDC Roundtable

September 10-11, 2013

Sutherland is hosting the 2013 BDC Roundtable on September 10-11, 2013, in Washington, D.C. Now in its 11th year, this annual program is focused on recent developments in the BDC industry, including relevant regulatory changes, SEC Staff positions, trends in financing alternatives, operational issues and best practices.  The Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA) co-sponsors this widely attended event.  In addition to the participation of leading BDC executives and leading service providers to the industry, this year the program includes two senior regulators from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Investment Management, and a Representative from the U.S. House of Representatives who serves on the House Financial Services Committee.  Topics to be covered include the pending legislation introduced both in the House and the Senate related to BDCs and SBICs, trends in debt financing and the role of the rating agencies, the evolving accounting and disclosure requirements for BDCs, and recent SEC Enforcement actions that have implications for BDCs.     Attorneys Steven B. Boehm, Cynthia M. Krus, Harry S. Pangas, John J. Mahon, John Walsh, and Bruce Bettigole will be speaking.
