Eminent Domain: Condemnation and Land Use Conference

May 4-5,2006

The conference will be held on May 4-5, 2006 in Durham, North Carolina.  Through updates on recent Supreme Court decisions and litigation strategy, the conference will provide attendees with the tools they need to understand the law of eminent domain.  The conference will also offer insights into the law since the Supreme Court's recent decision against property owners in Kelo v. City of New London.

Sutherland Partner Lew Wiener is program co-chair and a conference speaker.  Lew will give a speech entitled, The Fifth Amendment – From Penn Central to Kelo, and Sutherland Partner Nick Christakos will give a speech entitled, Cross-Examining Appraisers and Other Experts.
