Patent Claim Construction Seminar

April 25, 2008

Sutherland Partner John L. North is speaking at a Patent Claim Construction seminar, presented by Law Seminars International, on April 25, 2008, at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia.  John’s presentation, "Demonstrative Markman Hearing," will present a mock Markman hearing, including trying the case for appeal and examining how the various issues play out from both sides of the table.

This one-day workshop is designed for litigators, in-house counsel, and judicial opinion writers involved in patent cases, whether at the pre-filing, litigation or appellate stages.  Claim construction is the single most important phase of a patent case, and is often dispositive of infringement and validity issues.  The presenters, experienced patent litigators who have been involved in all aspects of patent cases, will provide practitioners and non-practitioners alike with the essential tools and information necessary to work with proper claim construction.
