The JOBS Act: What Does it Mean for Private Funds?

November 8, 2012

Sutherland Quick Call

The SEC’s recently proposed rules in response to the JOBS Act are poised to transform the way private fund managers access capital. On November 8, 2012, Sutherland attorneys Harry S. Pangas and William M. Watts III will discuss how the new rules will change fundraising for private fund managers. They will discuss the end of the prohibition on general solicitation as well as address the SEC’s expectations of investor qualification verification. Finally, and just as importantly, we will discuss what has not changed.
