University of Georgia Center for Forest Business Event
Sutherland International Climate Change Advisor Monique Lussier and Sutherland Partner William H. Bradley are speaking at a University of Georgia Center for Forest Business event entitled "The Timberland Asset: Stable Investments for Turbulent Times," March 18-20, 2009, at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation.
Monique will present an "Overview of Legal Requirements for Successful Forest Carbon Offset Projects." Bill will present regarding the "Legal Aspects of Timberland Transactions and Ownership."
The timberland asset class has a long-held reputation for providing dependable returns. The unique qualities of this alternative asset class, such as biological growth and land appreciation, offer an inflation hedge and a stabilizing alternative for many portfolios – traits which are especially attractive in today’s turbulent global economic climate.
