What You Need to Know About FINRA Arbitration

March 31, 2009

Webinar

Sutherland Partner S. Lawrence Polk is speaking on a Webinar: What You Need to Know About FINRA Arbitration, which will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET.

FINRA’s current arbitration process is undergoing an overhaul. Recent and proposed changes deal with an array of issues, ranging from expungement of customer dispute information, to motions-to-dismiss, to different dollar-levels for cases that go to a single public arbitrator. This Webinar will include: what changes to watch out for in the procedural rules governing motions to dismiss and expungement; what effect the flood of new cases will have on arbitrator pools; tips to achieve success in arbitration; the future role of the industry arbitrator; how to arbitrate employee-employer matters; and how best to interpret past arbitration results.
