The Ventura County Reporter notes that all nine candidates for the three open seats on the Ventura City Council stated at last week’s debate that they opposed having LNG terminals built off the coast of Southern California, in contrast to the recent support for the Clearwater project expressed by a Councilman who is not up for re-election.  As one candidate warned voters, however, “my current knowledge and understanding is the Ventura City Council has no authority over that.”
