The Coos Bay World today describes efforts by Jordan Cove Energy Project to purchase wetland properties that would offset potential subtidal damage that could be caused by construction of the project’s marine facilities. Jordan Cove and the International Port of Coos Bay recently secured an option through 2010 to purchase a property that was once a golf course and the two entities already hold an option to buy an industrial-owned property that expires at the end of 2009.
