The Savannah Morning News reports that the Georgia Department of Education will likely request that local officials examine the potential hazards to Savannah schools of the proposed Southeast LNG truck delivery project. According to the news article, the Department of Education may withhold state funds if the local school board does not comply with the required additional risk assessment.

Separately, the Savannah Morning News also reports that three Savannah city representatives met with officials of the Obama Administration last week to discuss the proposed LNG truck delivery project.
