Following a raid of the Costa Azul LNG facility by local police on the orders of Ensenada Mayor Enrique Pelayo Torres, state officials from Baja California stepped in to keep the facility operating normally. Despite the actions of Mayor Torres, Baja California’s Economic Development Secretary Alejandro Mungaray Lagarda said in statement that the LNG facility “is operating legally.” Find further coverage in the San Diego Union-Tribune.
