EPA issues quality assurance draft plan for RIN reform

In a recent article published in Canadian BIOMASS, Sutherland Associate David M. McCullough comments on the EPA plan to enforce quality assurance for renewable identification number (RIN) generation and reporting. According to David, petroleum refiners and importers that purchased invalid credits in good faith were required to purchase additional credits to replace the invalid RINs and were fined more than $200 million by the EPA.
