Mark D. Jackson Joins Sutherland's Real Estate Group

October 11, 1999

WASHINGTON (October 11, 1999) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP is pleased to announce that Mark D. Jackson has joined the Washington Office as a Partner in the Real Estate Group. Mr. Jackson will focus his practice on representing real estate developers in acquiring, disposing of and financing real estate, and in managing and leasing real estate projects.

Prior to joining Sutherland, Mr. Jackson was a Partner at Tucker, Flyer in Washington, D.C. Mr. Jackson represents owners, developers and managers of office buildings, residential communities, research and development facilities, commercial shopping centers and mixed-use facilities in a variety of real estate matters. Mr. Jackson is expert in all aspects of office, retail and industrial leasing, and represents Fortune 500 companies, high-tech ventures, telecommunications companies as well as a wide variety of professional firms. Mr. Jackson regularly represents such clients in connection with their leasing and other real estate transactions, including the acquisition, leasing and construction of their headquarters facilities.

Mr. Jackson received his J.D. degree from Emory University School of Law and his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from American University. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association. Mr. Jackson is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Georgia.
