ATLANTA (July 14, 2005) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP announces its role as a Founder Level contributor to the recently incorporated Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. The Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta's first Executive Director, Rachel Spears, will be based in Sutherland's Atlanta office in 2005 and 2006.
The Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta provides transactional legal services to nonprofit organizations by leveraging the pro bono services of area counsel at corporations and law firms. The Partnership's clients will be nonprofit organizations that serve the public interest in Metropolitan Atlanta.
A number of corporations and law firms, including Coca-Cola Co., General Electric, Home Depot, Delta Airlines, King & Spalding LLP, and Kilpatrick Stockton LLP are also contributors to the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. Prior to joining the Partnership, Rachel was affiliated with King & Spalding where she served as an associate with the Financial Transactions Practice Group and Public Finance Subgroup since 1997.
