Sutherland Partner Named Chair of The Moore Financial Group Women's Advisory Board

September 5, 2003

ATLANTA (September 5, 2003) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan is pleased to announce that partner Amelia Toy Rudolph has been selected to serve as Chair of the new Women's Advisory Board for Moore Financial Group LLC, an Atlanta subsidiary of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company.  As Chair, Ms. Rudolph will lead the Board in identifying innovative community service opportunities for Moore Financial Group, focusing on women and girls, and in making the Atlanta business market a more suitable growth environment for business women.

As part of a company-wide "Women's Initiative," Mass Mutual is supporting the development of women's advisory boards in its agencies across the nation.  Moore Financial Group decided to start a women's advisory board of its own because it saw a need to increase the number of women in its employee ranks and in Atlanta's business community.

Ms. Rudolph is recruiting a diverse group of approximately 20 leading Atlanta business women to serve with her on the board.  So far, she has been successful in wooing an outstanding group of women professionals including Kelly Barrett, Controller of Home Depot; Pin Pin Chau, the President and CEO of Summit National Bank; Tracie Henderson, a Partner at KPMG; and Janet McKinley, Vice President and Chief Auditor of the BellSouth Corporation.

"As I develop in my own career, I realize more and more that women have unique needs, styles, and approaches to business," says Ms. Rudolph.  "I think there is much room for improvement in the business world's support system for women, and I look forward to the Board helping to define and strengthen this system."

As a graduate of Emory University and Emory University School of Law, Ms. Rudolph is an experienced trial lawyer, focusing her practice in accountants' and professional liability, securities litigation, federal and state RICO and other complex business litigation.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Rudolph clerked for the Honorable William C. O'Kelley, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

The Moore Financial Group provides insurance and financial services for individuals, businesses, and their employees.
