ATLANTA and WASHINGTON (May 9, 2011) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP today announced the addition of two new partners to the firm’s Executive Committee. James M. Cain and Allegra J. Lawrence-Hardy have joined Sutherland’s governing body and will serve a four-year term.
The duo were elected at the firm’s annual partner meeting, April 29-30, 2011 along with Steven B. Boehm, Rachel Giesber Clingman, Eric R. Fenichel, Victor P. Haley, Michael R. Miles and Peter H. Rodgers who will continue their service on the Executive Committee.

Jamie Cain, a member of Sutherland’s Corporate Practice Group, is nationally known for his experience with respect to the use of over-the-counter derivatives including interest rate, foreign exchange, equity and commodity transactions, and related collateral arrangements. He represents a wide range of financial institutions and commercial companies in documenting these types of transactions, as well as advising on internal and regulatory compliance.
Allegra Lawrence-Hardy, a member of Sutherland’s Litigation Practice Group and co-leader of the Business and Commercial Litigation Team, has extensive experience handling complex multi-party, class action, multi-jurisdictional commercial and labor and employment matters. She has successfully defended primarily Fortune 100 companies throughout the United States and abroad in numerous trials, arbitrations and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Additionally, Jennifer W. Fletcher and James D. Darrow will step down from the Executive Committee after fulfilling three years of service.
