Atiana Johnson counsels insurers on regulatory and transactional matters and advises businesses across sectors on AI, cybersecurity and data privacy.

Atiana advises clients on company formation, licensing of insurers and insurance intermediaries, market conduct, compliance with state insurance laws governing non-admitted insurance, re-domestications, the Holding Company Act, reinsurance and investment law compliance. She also helps execute insurance company mergers and acquisitions and reviews artificial intelligence regulatory developments.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Atiana participated in the firm's Summer Associate Program and worked as a law clerk for the firm. During law school, she served as staff editor for the Howard Law Journal and worked as a legal intern for a major US bank. She previously worked as a lobbyist and legislative analyst for the City of Atlanta's Mayor's Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.
- Represented Securian Financial Group, Inc. in the auctioned sale of its retirement plan recordkeeping business to Standard Insurance Company.
- Represented IGM Financial, one of Canada's largest diversified wealth and asset management companies, in its purchase of an approximately 20.5 percent equity interest in Rockefeller Capital Management, for consideration of approximately $622 million.
