Caren is a commercial and administrative litigator.

She has extensive experience representing clients in litigation and transactional matters involving the electric power industry. Caren has represented electric utilities, consumers, land owners, and other parties in a variety of contested matters before the Public Utility Commission of Texas and related state court appeals.

She also frequently counsels clients on matters related to state and federal contracting and procurement law. Her practice includes advising governmental agencies on the constitutional defensibility of race- and gender-conscious procurement programs, as well as representing private businesses in matters related to DBE/HUB/MBE/WBE regulatory compliance.

Caren’s previous experience includes serving as an associate in the Austin office of a large international law firm, where her practice focused on regulatory litigation. Prior to moving to Texas, she practiced in New York on a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, with a focus on securities, accounting and insurance fraud defense.

She has also devoted time to pro bono and court appointed work in the areas of immigration, family law, and child protective services.
