Dwaune Dupree counsels investment funds and business development companies (BDCs) on a broad range of corporate, regulatory, compliance and corporate governance matters. He also advises clients on various capital markets transactions to ensure compliance with federal securities laws governed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Dwaune began his legal career at Eversheds Sutherland (US), where he represented corporations and partnerships in domestic and international tax issues arising from general business operations and complex financial transactions.
Prior to re-joining Eversheds Sutherland (US), Dwaune served as counsel for Financial Policy at a large insurance trade association in Washington, DC. In that role, he represented property casualty insurance companies on tax and financial regulatory matters before state, federal and international administrators, regulators and legislators.
During law school, Dwaune served as an intern for the Honorable Henry E. Autrey of the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
