Jackson Allen represents clients in the power, natural gas and renewable energy sectors in connection with commercial transactions, project development, mergers and acquisitions, power purchase agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, construction agreements, and natural gas and power transactions.  He has represented a number of independent power producers (IPPs), investor-owned utilities (IOUs), electric cooperatives and project developers in connection with engineering, procurement and construction agreements for more than 15 solar and wind projects over the past two years.

Jackson’s experience ranges from small-scale net metering projects to large, utility-scale projects.  Most recently, he was the lead associate on the Eversheds Sutherland (US) team that advised a utility client in its acquisition and development of a 150-MW solar project located in Texas. This work involved negotiating the acquisition of the project from the developer, advising on the engineering, procurement and construction agreement for the project, and assisting with various other development-related aspects.

Prior to joining the firm, Jackson participated in Eversheds Sutherland’s Summer Associate program.
