Jim Bushee represents clients nationally in the electric power, natural gas and environmental sectors, focusing on electric infrastructure development and utility regulation. Jim practices before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), the Texas Railroad Commission and the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission, and he has appeared in regulatory proceedings in California, Iowa, Wyoming and Florida. Jim leads the Eversheds Sutherland (US) energy regulatory practice in Austin.

As part of Jim’s infrastructure development practice, he advises on the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act and natural resource issues.

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland (US), Jim was a member of the Legal Staff of the General Motors Energy and Environmental group and was also Environmental and Energy counsel for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
