Lea H. Schild

Associate

Lea Schild is an Associate in Eversheds Sutherland's Capital Markets Practice Group. 

She advises clients, including mutual funds, investment advisers and business development companies (BDCs), on a broad range of regulatory compliance, corporate governance and transactional matters, including capital raising efforts. She counsels clients on governance issues and regulatory filing needs with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as they relate to the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the Investment Company Act of 1940.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Lea participated in the firm's Summer Associate Program. During law school, Lea served as a judicial intern for Associate Judge Wingo at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and was Editor-in-Chief of the George Mason Law Review. Her past experiences also include several years at a Washington, DC-based association that represents the global financial industry, where Lea collaborated with industry clients from around the world.
