Ling helps insurance and financial services companies strategically plan and negotiate their significant corporate transactions, especially mergers, acquisitions, reinsurance of life and annuity products, dispositions and strategic alliances.  She also advises life insurers regarding regulatory compliance, capital requirements, excess reserve financings and corporate reorganizations.

Ling’s transactional experience involves insurance companies’ sales and acquisitions of entities or blocks of policies via indemnity or assumption reinsurance. Lately, Ling has been involved in many large annuity reinsurance transactions, including newly issued individual or group annuity products.

Ling also represents insurers in structured finance and life insurance reserve securitization transactions, including excess reserve financing transactions and capital management for annuity producers.

In addition, Ling advises clients on general corporate mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and secured and unsecured lending transactions.
