Lisa Combs Jern represents employers—from Fortune 100 companies to venture capital start-ups—in a variety of industries including energy, telecommunications, securities, technology, multimedia, retail, textile, banking and transportation. A member of Sutherland’s Litigation Practice Group, Lisa’s national practice includes employment discrimination and other class-action litigation, non-competition and trade secret controversies, executive compensation and employee benefit issues, U.S. Department of Labor wage and hour claims, including collective action overtime and related issues, and labor disputes and union-related matters.
Lisa represents clients in the United States and abroad and tries cases in federal and state courts from California to Virginia. She negotiates complex, multiparty settlements and handles high-profile public relations media issues. Before joining the firm, Lisa served as a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas A. Clark of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
