Nana Amoo counsels clients on regulatory, corporate governance and transactional matters as they relate to derivatives, structured products and financial services.
An associate in the Derivatives and Structured Products Group, Nana advises on compliance with US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations under the Dodd-Frank Act. She also advises on corporate governance matters, and assists with the negotiation and documentation of over-the-counter derivatives transactions and structured hedging solutions. Nana counsels a range of clients, including asset managers, financial institutions, broker-dealers, corporate end users, and other derivatives and commodities participants.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Nana served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Yvonne M. Williams of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Gerald Bruce Lee of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Her previous experience includes working at a midsize Maryland-based law firm where she contributed on matters in a range of business law practice areas, including commercial transactions and corporate governance.
