With nearly 20 years of experience as corporate counsel in the global energy and financial commodities industries, Travis McCullough counsels clients on energy trading and complex structured financial transactions involving all manner of physical commodities, including natural gas, power, base and precious metals, crude oil and refined products, agricultural products, natural gas liquids, uranium, renewables and other products.
Travis assists clients with negotiation and documentation of commodity derivative portfolio acquisitions; divestitures of physical commodities businesses; and structuring, negotiation, documentation and administration of structured physical and financial commodity transactions, including long-term commodity purchases and sales, prepays, secured and unsecured financings, inventory monetizations, volumetric production payments, acquisitions and credit intermediation.
He also negotiates, implements and maintains trading documentation and advises on the development of new products and businesses in the commodities arena. Travis also guides clients with implementing U.S. financial industry regulatory reform as well as European Union financial and commodity markets regulatory reform.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland (US), Travis was Managing Director and Associate General Counsel at one of the world’s leading banking and financial services holding companies. There, he served as lead senior counsel for the company’s commodities business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), with oversight for all legal matters associated with the EMEA commodities business, and management and supervision of the EMEA commodities legal team.
